About Michelle

Michelle Haring is a bookstore owner turned author. She started her book career in 1987 and has owned Cupboard Maker Books for twenty two years. Cupboard Maker Books has over 125,000 used and rare books along with several thousand new titles. As a bookseller, Michelle has won several awards including RT Book Reviews Bookseller of the Year, the 2018 RT Book Reviews Creative Initiative Award and the 2019 RWA Steffie Walker Bookseller of the Year Award. Because she has been so immersed in the bookstore and publishing world, she decided she didn’t want to set her cozy mystery series within one. Thus, Death Motors was born. When Michelle isn’t writing, you can find her reading and sorting through the plethora of books at Cupboard Maker Books. She’s found all sorts of items in books, but has yet to find herself living in a cozy mystery scenario.
